I was late for work that day, and didn't turn on the radio during the drive in.  I arrived at work, in hindsight it was deathly quiet, and went to my office A message was blinking.  My daughter left a weird voice mail asking something about "what  was Brenda going to do.  How was she getting home?"  I was a little baffled , but I decided to get coffee before calling her back.    I walked into the cafeteria, and a co-worker looked very dazed.  I asked her jokingly, "What are you spacing out about so intently?".  She replied, "Didn't you hear?"  As she told me about a plane hitting one of the towers of the world Trade Center, my daughter's message made much more sense.  Brenda was going to have a tough ride home.  She works in midtown.  But at this point,  all I knew was a plane had hit one of the Trade Center Towers.  I went into my office, and for some reason choose BBC News on my internet connection.  It connected and in front of me was an image of a plane circling around the second tower.  One was already on fire.  The announcer was freaking, and so was I.  Brenda and Manhattan were under attack.  This was no accident!
